Apparently, in 1988, Eminem was 16 and rapping as Emcee Double M. It's crazy to think about the progression from Marshall Mathers to Double M to M&M...finally restyled as Eminem. Years before he came up with his Slim Shady personality, Eminem was rapping in an old school flow like Rakim.
