Iowa native Adam Protextor may be known for his role in starting both Austin's premiere weekly hip-hop open mic night (Austin Mic Exchange) & Austin's first ever hip-hop festival (Weird City Fest), but he's also been a dope rapper this whole time. His new record SHIFT just released & this month you'll find him performing with a live band every Thursday night at Barracuda for The SHIFT Sessions (starts on Feb 4).
Monikker interviewed Protextor along with one of the main producers for SHIFT, fellow Austin artist HADES. This episode is Part 1 in a 3-part series about Austin hip-hop.
