Nitty Scott MC - "Buddhaveli (NahImaStay)"
Nitty's new Creature LP is coming, and she flaunts that in new single "Buddhaveli (NahImaStay)." It seems like Nitty is trying to stay namaste but is having a hard time with all the people hating on her. "I did the Art of Chill, but y'all make it hard to chill," she raps in the song. Nitty's last full solo project was indeed The Art of Chill in 2014, but she did team up with Joel Ortiz and Bodega Bamz last year to release the full-length Westside Highway Story under the moniker No Panty. "Buddhaveli" is the latest in a handful of singles to bring the hype for the anticipated new album from the lyrical NYer.
Kazanova - "Boss Life" feat. Jay Mackall & Dat Boy Supa
"Boss Life" is a brand new southern anthem celebrating independence. Austinites Kazanova, Jay Mackall, and Dat Boy Supa teamed up to instruct us in the ways of boss life. The horns and chorus vocals kind of remind me of a JT sound with the three rappers trading rapid rhymes on the verses. Once the first verse kicks in Kazanova really sets the mood and pace of the song. It's the type of Austin song to turn up and play driving around town.
